I'm married to Caleb. He's my best friend, and I'm so lucky to spend most of my time with him. I'm a gardening maniac. I laughed at my parents when they spent every day in their garden, but now I'm turning into them! These days I get excited about talking about compost piles. I go to the movies every chance I get, and I love to read. I'm involved with the worship team at Evangelical Free Church of Naperville when we're not on the road. My vices are Starbuck's Mocha Coconut and Peppermint Mocha Frappuccinos and I'm happy to say. . .my own cooking (I've finally learned how to do it!)

A paragraph about you: I love GOD. I love my FAMILY. I love my FRIENDS. I love what I do. Chances are, I probably love you too. Humor is very important to me. Years ago someone brought it to my attention that "Chicks dig funny guys." Being shy and quiet I decided to add humor to my chick magnet. Lo and behold it worked!!! I attracted my wife 14 years ago (freshman year of high school) and became permanently unipolarized (that's the best word I could substitute for married and somehow related to magnets, hee hee!) six years ago. My wife, Laura, is without a doubt the best cook I know (sorry Mom). Our one big argument is whether my chocolate chip cookies are better than hers (they are). One thing I hate is being in the kitchen. Even though I make a mean cookie, I'd rather be cruising on my scooter or hanging out at the local Home Depot. We have an agreement that if she cooks, I'll do the dishes. Yeah, that's right folks, I don't have a dishwasher. I AM the dishwasher. I'm nearly finished with nursing school. Soon I'll be working a "real job" as well as this job we call "Daniel's Window." The past 11 years with the band have been an absolute blessing. My favorite part of Daniel's Window is getting to meet a lot of interesting and weird people, having a positive impact in the people across America, and beating on expensive pieces of wood and plastic using wood. Go Bears. Go Cubs.

A paragraph about you: I have always been attracted to the arts. Music, writings, poetry, drawings, paintings, it doesn't matter. In response to my overwhelming love for all things creative, I desire to contribute my own ideas to the greater movement. Through music, I have been able to explore the poetic side of my beliefs through lyric writing and musically I have been able to draw from those musicians I look up to and create something that gives a nod to them while staying fundamentally myself.

Most memorable touring experience: There are so many, helping someone increase their faith, laughing with friends during the highs and lows of touring, meeting new people, hearing the roar of a crowd in a stadium, changing flat tires, forgetting where you are or what day it is, coming home.
Favorite city you've played in: San Antonio, TX for the ELCA National Conference. We got to stay there for two weeks performing in various venues. They have a fun river walk with too many restaurants (love the Tex-Mex), the Alamo, Six Flags, an awesome zoo, and beautiful weather. Austin, TX was a blast with the plethora of music venues and a high ramp roller derby. I’ve seen the beauty of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and Niagara Falls, the history of Philadelphia, Boston, and Washington D.C. (private tour of the White House), the lights of Times Square where night looks like day, and the sobering sight of ground zero after 911.

A sentence about you: I am a Christian, husband, father, and musician trying to find a balance within these that are pleasing to all that are involved.
